Upsilon Node is responsible for executing service checks, sending results to other nodes and writing results to a database.


Docker16.png + Centos16.png Docker container running CentOS 7 On your Linux host, where Docker is already installed;

root@host$: docker run -it centos

Then, inside the container;

user@container$: yum install vim wget -y
user@container$: cd /etc/yum.repos.d/
user@container$: wget http://upsilon-project.co.uk/repositories/upsilon-rpm-el7/upsilon-rpm-el7.repo
user@container$: yum install upsilon-node

Then, edit the config file.

Fedora16.png Fedora

root@host$: cd /etc/yum.repos.d/
root@host$: wget http://upsilon-project.co.uk/repositories/upsilon-rpm-fc24/upsilon-rpm-fc24.repo
root@host$: yum install upsilon-node

Rhel16.png RHEL, Centos16.png CentOS (6.x)

root@host$: cd /etc/yum.repos.d/
root@host$: curl -O http://upsilon-project.co.uk/repositories/upsilon-rpm-el6/upsilon-rpm-el6.repo
root@host$: yum install upsilon-node

Note: Get python dependencies and Nagios check RPMs by installing the EPEL repository: https://anorien.csc.warwick.ac.uk/mirrors/epel/6/x86_64/repoview/epel-release.html

Rhel16.png RHEL, Centos16.png CentOS (7.x)

root@host$: cd /etc/yum.repos.d/
root@host$: curl -O http://upsilon-project.co.uk/repositories/upsilon-rpm-el7/upsilon-rpm-el7.repo
root@host$: yum install upsilon-node

Debian16.png Debian, Ubuntu16.png Ubuntu, etc Debian builds are offline at the moment. Use the bindist version; http://upsilon-project.co.uk/repositories/upsilon-bindist/ Recommend you install like this; dpkg -i upsilon*.deb && apt-get -fy install

Rpi16.png RPI (Raspbian OS) See the raspberry pi specific installation instructions!

Windows-icon.png Windows Windows support is quite primitive at the moment. Link to download Oracles Java JRE: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jre7-downloads-1880261.html Extract the file binaries/upsilon-0.129.0.jar somewhere, then run the jar using the command java -jar upsilon-0.129.0.jar
